As previously communicated, DECAL has begun the transition of the provider management and payment functions of the Childcare and Parent Services (CAPS) program. The last day to submit attendance in the Maximus Provider Billing Application (PBA) system was November 6, 2023 . Providers can expect to receive their last regular CAPS payment through the PBA approximately November 9, 2023 . The GACAPS System Provider Portal will be operational on November 15, 2023 , and providers can begin billing in the new payment system for any service weeks that were not previously billed in the Maximus PBA. To bridge the gap in payments that will occur between November 9th and November 30th due to the transition, DECAL will make a one-time CAPS Transition Support payment to providers. This supplemental payment will be made the week of November 13, 2023 . The amount of the supplemental payment will be based on the average of your recent weekly payment amounts. The supplemental payment is an extra payment that is separate from regular CAPS payments and will not need to be repaid.
